Default Our Savannah is gone

Just this side of heaven is a place called RainbowBridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent; her eager body quivers. Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross RainbowBridge together.... Our Savannah crossed RainbowBridge this morning in our arms and is waiting on us. May 25, 2010.

Goodbye, Savannah. You and your masters shared a very special bond that made all of you the better for it.

Sorry for your loss.

When we lost our last shepherd I wasn't sure about getting another. After a few months we got another and I am glad we did.

Good by loyal friend. One that was eager to greet me, who loved me as I'am.
You will be missed Savannah.

Been through it here three times now, in the last 15 years. We have two dogs now, and they are like family. It's terribly difficult, and nothing anyone says can make it less painful. But know that others know how you feel, and feel your pain.

Rest in peace, Savannah.

Default Sorry for the loss that can never be replaced

Labs are so crazy and funny when young and so loving and bonding as they get older. I am on vacation in hatteras for two wks with our 14 year old black lab. We have had her since a pup and she is 14. I usually have two carry her up the steps because she gets winded. She is still my best riding companion in my 4x4 towing my boat. she never complains about my driving. the memories are for ever of your lab.

Jags, so sorry to hear of your loss. I know it must be tough but when you feel the time is proper get another. I am sure there is another dog that needs and wants your families love! That beautiful commentary always brings a tear to my eye!

My ol' girl Ash lives only in my dreams now....she is at rest in my back yard at the spot where she used to love laying in the sun.
My heart goes out to you Jags....only another dog lover can understand your loss.
