My wife is also not happy of the conditon I am in after the "evening swingset shift".

HA! My buddy built that exact set last summer! Took him 3 weeks of evening work (after day job) and about 2 cases of Heineken Lite!
Whats worse is they bought it online from Sams, started building it, then went to Sams on a Sunday and saw the same kit for like $400 less. So he took apart what he put together and packed it up neatly (which took about 3 nights!) then returned it and went to Sams and bought the one in the store!

Told me he's gonna hire a Contractor next time!

Someone told me this same thing right before we bought one for our kids 11 yrs ago. The $250 for installation was WELL worth it...

I bought one used from my brother's friend two years ago. The guy was pretty meticulous with it, the instructions, etc. He even gave me the special ratchet that was needed.

The only problem was that it came partially constructed, so steps 1, 3, 4, 7, and 12 were already "done". Took me a long time.

I paid the $ 200.00 for installation. Let them do it for practically nothing.

My inlaws bought our kids a set similar to that for thier birthday a couple of years ago from Sams.It was a surprise to my wife and I as we were waiting for our kids to get a little older before purchasing one.It took three days to put together and was a huge PITA.I would have paid 500 at the time just to be done with it.

Where is everyone getting this $200 installation price?
Nobody offered to me?

I assume that they send someone over to put together?

We got this thing from Wal-Mart.
Who in the hell do they have that's qualified enough to first come over to my house and secondly put together a swing set that my children wil be playing on?

I didn't get mine from Wally-world, it came from the mfr...

Haha I bought the big one from Costco. Damn thing came in 6 boxes and nothing was labeled. Took me about 20 hours to build over 3 weekends

There is a guy her that has a business just to set them up. 300/ea and he makes a killing. Takes him about 2 hours with a helper

I saw the ones at the stores and figured I could build one better. I spent the day at the local saw mill and bought cypress. It came out great, and I didn't have to worry about the directions.

fichtion 05-18-2010 03:49 PM

We bought ours from a local shop, retail was like 2,200.00

Install was 200.00.

2 18 year olds did it in less than 2 hours. i think there is a big learning curve once you put one together.

better them than me.

A Few Dollars 05-18-2010 03:50 PM

;?

I put this one together in one day
