Default Strange new thing happening on my computer.

I'm sitting here checking out the threads on THT and all of a sudden I start getting sound. And not just any sound, it seems to be a internet radio show about gardening. There is nothing open other than Firefox with THT on it. No extra tabs. Nothing that would indicate why this is playing.

I'm not in to gardening and neither is my wife or son so I don't think it's some leftover bit from previous surfing or anything like that. The computer seems to be operating normally. I have McAfee running for security.

Any ideas what might be going on?

They were telling me the human body is an excellent fertilizer. Better watch out or you might get one of these .The corn needs a little something.

I have the same problem, when i re-boot it goes away then comes back, and Mcafee cannot detect it.

Oh good, I see it's not all in my head, despite what billinstuart might think.

I didn't try to close Firefox while it was playing. It stopped 10-15 minutes after I started the thread.

I looked at the page and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Besides, this went on for 20 minutes or so and was like a radio show. Two people talking about gardening, not trying to sell anything.

I've got ATT DSL.

I know there's a few computer gurus here. Anyone with an idea?

Thats what I was thinking. Non paying members see advertisements so its possible they (IB) are slipping some audio advertising in on you.

Does it happen on any other site or just THT?

if you ever use IE, it is probably a browser redirector virus. if you have live messenger running, its probably getting thru there.
