I an tyring to upload a photo from my computer to a website. It is a .bmp file.

1- The website will not take it maybe cause it wants jpeg format? - can I change that ?

and 2 -when I use the browse feature the photo isn't there I have to "search" then it come sup. It is under My documents, my pictures - I have Windows XP

Many programs can save in both formats. Paint should be on your PC. Open the picture with Paint, and do a 'Save As', pick the format you want (and name and location..).

For #2, not sure. Searches look for the name and/or extension. Be sure that the full name is correct, use use a wildcard "*" for the extension.

Get GIMP. It's free, and it works very well. Size, crop, process images of many types. And there are lots of tutorial videos on YouTube as well, if you're stuck.
