Default Baltimore MD

I am heading down to Baltimore MD for 2 days of business and I am staying an extra day to drive down to Washington DC. I have never been to Washington, is it worth visiting in a single day or should I find something else to do in the Baltimore area?

Also my Wife will be with me, are there any attractions in Baltimore that would keep her busy during the day while I attend meetings?

Any pointers would be great, thanks.

When is your trip? (exact dates not required, security reasons)
Where are you staying?
I hope it is not this week due to the snow expected.

Dont bother for the next week. The roads are worthless and traffic is a mess.

She could spend time on the inner harbor where there is the Aquarium as mentioned above. Also, for dinner consider Little Italy. I would like to recommend a small neighborhood restaurant that we ate at this fall. It is called Salt I think you can google it. Awesome restuarant. Keep your eyes open, Baltimore can be rough.

For DC, there is a ton to do. You can park the car and spend the day on the mall visiting the museums, monuments, and the white house and the Capitol. Head up to to top of the Washington Hotel and have coctails overlooking the mall. Arlington Cemetery is worth a visit but bring your walking shoes....or snowshoes.

It's funny because we have had hardly any snow here in Maine, it has been awesome.

I am going to be in the area towards the end of the month, so I hope all the snow is gone by then!
