There isn't a band out of the 60's / 70's that can hold a note like they used to, yet us baby boomers still like to see them. Yes I felt they started out slow / sloooopy, but they did pull it together midway and for the end.

Aside from the music, that light show was EXCELLENT!

You know who was great at the super bowl??? PRINCE!

Like him or not, that 4 1/2 foot mildly effeminate freak rocked the manliest event in the world. He made the Who look like clowns, he even trumped Springsteen.

Only in America can a tiny minority man take his gift for music combine it with bizarre style, make millions of dollars and rock the superbowl.

Prince was definitely solid in his SB performance. Especially if you consider the rain was coming down his entire set. Talk about an added degree of difficulty!

If the NFL stick with old bands, I say bring in Ozzy and Black Sabbath. Now that would be a good show.

You don't have to think it. It's a fact.

It was a horrible performance, sad to see such a great band become so bad.

I know this thread is 5 years old, but I am pleased to report they are still very much ALIVE & WELL..Saw them once at Mohegan over Memorial Day weekend. It was like I was able to rewind my life 30 years for 2 hours. I like it so much, I went again this past weekend to Forest Hills (which is a GREA PLACE to see an act).

Would have like to have heard "REAL ME" but at 70+ Roger's voice was still great...

In a similar vein, Harold Melvin (as well as Teddy Pendergrass) are deceased, but there is still a band running around that advertises itself as "Harold Melvin's Blue notes"
