Been watching since the first show...

I wonder if Big Brother is coming on?

It normally runs at this time.

I've made a habit of watching the program. The Misses records it for me the times I'm not able to sit down to watch it.

Russell definitely should have been the winner of the last show! He played REAL GOOD!

I've already done my own survivor show.....I did approx. 285 days in the bush/ mountains with no groceries shopping or basic amenities, so I already know what it's like. So in saying that, I know I could EASILY do that show. Although I figure I'd be voted off fairly early because I'd be to much of a threat to everyone, besides I can only eat so much crow from others.

IMO the hardest part of doing those 39 days or whatever it is on a program like that is dealing with the inadequacy of others. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but in the last several episodes it's not the strong that are winning, it's the useless and weak.

* The weak throughout their life have learnt how to keep their thoughts to themselves, to quietly exist in the background and mingle amongst their own kind while the strong pound on their chests. It is human nature for the strong to fear the strong while competing, therefore the strong will vote out their greatest concerns. It is the weak that see the strengths of others and know what it is they fear the most and in many cases know how to leach off of those around them to move forward in certain circles. There is power in numbers and the weak know how to fly under the radar and use their weakness as a strength....they’ve had their life time to perfect that trait.

I have NOT seen where the weak are winning because of a good game plan. I see where the weak are winning because they are riding the coat tails of the strong. Human nature comes into play once again with the final vote, the strong KNOW they are the stronger person when it comes to the weak. The problem the strong face with this type of analogy is, "most" of those sitting on the judges panel are all the weak. The weak WILL stick together against the strong, they always have and they always will!

And then we can't forget about the dames that tease with their sex appeal to get ahead in life.....I hate those ones the most!

Past winners:
http://survivorwiki.wetpaint.com/page/Survivor+Winners

I know what you mean.
How many of these "Winners" were the ones that did the Out Wit, Out Play, Out last.
Out Last- yea, they won, but some were carried there by a stronger player.
Never has a weaker player carried a strong player to the end.

This is one of the most obvious examples of that.
Survivor: Pearl Islands
Survivor Winner | Sandra Diaz-Twine
Viewed as one of the worst winners ever.
In a news report, it was revealed she bribed CBS to bring her back on the show for season 20.

Very interesting take on comparing the strong to the weak. I never really thought of it that way but I think you may be on to something. It makes sense and keeps the strong and the weak in balance so neither the strong or the weak will ever control the other. So, how does this analogy fit into todays society? Socialist countries/dictatorships? Are they controlled by the few strong or the many weak? Or, the morally corrupt?
"Survivor" is a very interesting view on human nature for sure.
