Default another question for camera/computer experts

please let me preface this question by saying I am nearly camera/computer illiterate! That being said,my question.I am trying to post some items for sale on THT.When I try to upload pix it says upload unsuccessful;same on craigslist. The camera I have is new.The previous camera I had,I could add pix on craigslist;though I never tried on THT.I believe that the file size is to large, comparing pix from old camera to new????? Now I am totally in the dark.Could someone please help, regarding the fact you are talking to a computer moron!

Thanks in advance,Scott

Most websites limit the file size for pics. Use whatever photo program that you use on your computer to resize the pics. Todays high megapixel cameras take large file size pics. Use the software, like Picasa, to make them smaller.

Try 640x480 size - works good on here.

Load them onto your desktop and use the "paperclip" to attach to your post.

If you are using Windows XP, there is a download that does it very quickly. If you don't want to mess with a download, in XP, Vista, or Windows 7, included MS paint will resize them pretty easily as well. Windows 7's paint is pretty cool.

If you are using a MAC...you'll have to do a Google search to find a download for that..one that doesn't say "Trial Version" or some such other nonsense across it when you are done.

photobucket is free (along with a lot of other similar photo hosting sites).
1. Set up a membership
2. Up load photos from your PC. Be sure to size them.
320 x 240 is med.
640 x 480 is large. Some sites can handle large.
3. Arrange albums anyway you like. Under each photo there will be a list.
4. Left click IMG code (to highlight) right click on it to copy.
5 Go to the desired posting location, left click, then right click for drop down, click paste
