how does one get off face book I can't find on site and they are letting everything thur I want off I made a mistake by saying Yes to a friend

Check on there. There is a button that allows you to cancel your account. I canceled mine a few months ago.

login to facebook and search "delete account" on the left-hand side of the resulting page you'll see a link under HOW TO DELETE (short version)

The easiest way to cancel a facebook account is to never start one.

I agree. My daughters urged me to join so I gave it try...for one day. The day after I joined I found about 20 emails in my regular email account from Facebook members all inviting me to participate in what was basically nonsensical crap. I immediately logged on and cancelled my account. So, to the OP, there is a provision to do that. The last thing I need is another form of communication.
