Default Warm Short Vacaticion in April Suggestions??

I posted last week for ideas on a sportfishing vacation and have since realized that will be out of my budget. going to plan B

I want to fly out of atlanta with my girl on wendsday march 31 and get back on sunday. I'd like to go somewhere where the water is warm enough to swim. I want to be able to rent a boat so we can explore on our own. We will consider a fishing charter when we get there. Romance is important. Cool places to explore is important. Not too many people is important. Would like somewhere not too touristy but i am on a budget so i know i may have to compromise there.

I talked to a friend who suggested Abaco today, it sounds absolutly perfect, i would be sold on it but i think the water will be a little cold in april. is this correct?? Any suggestions for an Abaco like place?? Budget is 3500 for the short trip.

I'm looking to do a short (5 day) trip to Nassau. On priceline there's a few vacation packages I saw. There's an all inclusive for around $500 which includes airfare from New York. I'm probably going to book it soon. I've been to Nassau in early May and the water for around 80.

For 3500 you could do a nice cruise!

Try Turks & Caicos.. Beaches,

Grand Cayman Island is a short flight from Atlanta. Wife and I try to go every year. Give it a look.

The Abacos can be unpredictable that time of year. Water should be ok, but wind is a motha in March and April (and May sometimes) if fronts are still coming through. I'd try Abaco in June.

Yeah water temps anywhere in the Caribbean should be warm enough to swim by April. Not sure how much "romance" you will find on some of the Bahamas out islands though, unless some quality alone time on a secluded beach works. There is plenty of that in the Bahamas as well as boat rentals and fishing charters.
