Default Buying a TV on Internet...a happy ending

Last month I bought a Viore HDTV from Brandsmart Internet sales. The TV rated well and Brandsmart was suggested by one of our members as having great prices.

Considering that a TV is a commodity where price is king, I ordered one. It was DOA, so contacting the regular CS people is where I learned a huge lesson....the warranty isn't valid unless all original packaging is sent back, too.

WTF? how do we get the TV out of the box without cutting it open? I felt screwed, so after calling the Visa cops, I was put in contact with the Brandsmart VP. She is great...professional, courteous and with a, "...let's resolve this today", kind of attitude. We ordered a replacement. DANG! the new one had internal bleeding and now it was a week before Christmas.

The VP came through with class. We discussed and decided to order a different brand (which shipped like lightning and is working perfectly).

What to do with the two dead TVs? She sent an empty box for the first TV and issued a pickup order for the two dead ones. Today she issued credit for them and life is good again.

She is what any internet retailer would value as their CEO....absolutely cannot say enough about her willingness to follow this through, and during their busiest time of the year, no less!

Unless it is posted in large letters on brandsmart's site (it might be) it would be considerate of you to remove her email address, as THT gets indexed very quickly (for a very very long time) in google.

Good point, Flot. Using her name is probably more than enough to get past the front line of CS defense.
