Default How to drive in snow!

Now here's a novel way to try and stop your car - because you KNOW the grip from a pair of shoes is far better than four car tires!

Actually saw that on my old home town newspaper website. He's Irish - which probably explains it even better!

We called it mushing. Don't be in-line with the rear wheels or you got a sack full of wet snow and sand. Speed record on my corner was 40 MPH. I am not close to the record holder.

I do have the record for the most pissed off father when he came home from work to see me in his old car riding around on the lake at the end of our street.
Same lake, different car, very drunk, cops chasing us over land while we stayed on the lake at 70MPH finding out how many 360's we could do. The cops were more upset than Dad but they never caught us. Sooner or later you have to go home.

Yeah, but he's in Northern Ireland so that really explains it better. You know how those Ulster Protestants can be.

If you watch the video again and at the very end look at the houses on the left. See where the floor of the houses are in relation to the slope of the street. Moore Street is very very steep - what the hell he was doing trying to go done there is beyond me! You can see by the undisturbed snow that no one else had done it.
Though there is a cross street at the top - wonder if he was going across that, car hit the snowy hilly street and turned down on it's own?
