I watched the race because it was on.

I was hoping the Tony vs. Coco thing was going to keep going myself.
I think it was race(ist) driven

I'm ready for next year to see a lot of other teams step up to the plate. My hat is off to what they have done. Go JGR

I got tired of NASCAR a few years ago. Too many cars per team and not enough competition. It's pretty much dominated by Roush & Hendrick. Did the #48 team make it through the season without getting caught cheating? If so, that's an accomplishment in itself.

I remember sneaking over the wall in Daytona when I was 17 (1966). Those were great days with big cars, big personalities and what won on Sunday sold on Monday.

What a change...cookie cutter cars, drivers are so politically correct and I was amazed to see the size of the check Johnson was holding up....$6.5 mil.

I watched this past season just because Mark Martin had a chance... a damn good one to win his first championship...but instead got his fifth second place in the chase.

I agree, honestly I do not know what it is but it has got to be too boring in the last few years. I love Nascar but have not watched but 5 races this year(2 Daytona, 2 Talladega, August Bristol) and even those are not what they use to be.

I know drivers come and go but it has been down hill since Earnhardt Sr died, almost like the REAL NASCAR died that day

I'm with ya on that one. Can't really pull for anyone since Dale died. Nascar is boring.

NASCAR treats it's competitors the same way some want to treat all those that are in America, (notice I did not all Americans).

Everything has to be even, no one team can have any advantage over another team. Just because you may have figured out a better way to do things by working harder, longer hours, investing more, thinking outside the box, gaining better sponsors that equates to more speed, better cars and consistency.

That's just not FAIR.

I guess the real reason if the above were to be able to happen, there would not be 43 cars that qualify. If a team became non competitive, they would loose their sponsors then fall by the wayside. No fan would want to see one team always in the winner circle. Plus in case of a crash the speed of an unrestricted car would most likely kill more drivers.

I guess NASCAR is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Just my opinion but NASCAR is trying to draw in the wine and cheese crowd instead of the crowd that built NASCAR.

They need to say the hell with the following tracks, Fontana, Vegas, Chicago, Michigan, New Hampshire, Homestead and cut bring back THE ROCK, Wilkiesboro and REDUCE THE DAMN SCHEDULE.

The season is way to long and I understand this points championship but it just ain't getting it, this is why the August Bristol race is turned into a boring race as well, drivers are more worried about points than wins.

INCREASE THE POINTS FOR WINNING

They are also missing drivers with balls, Earnhardt, Spencer, Wallace, Buddy Baker, Yarborough, Richard Petty, the Allisons these are the types of drivers that made Nascar what it is or WAS. Today's driver's all have those whiney ass voices and I can bet you my bottom dollar not a one of them would get out of their car and get into a fist fight (remember the 1979 Daytona 500 and the famous fight between Yarborough and the Allisons on national tv)

Not saying today's drivers are not talented drivers but MOST of them need to be in open wheel racing where they can parade around with their beautifull girl friends and fake ass smiles.

Give the Good Ole Boys with good ole Redneck gals hanging around in tank tops and big tits and bleached blond hair and the drivers drinking a beer after the race, I can recall seeing Cale Yarborough sitting on the top of his hauler, after he wrecked his car trying to get to the front of the pack, with a cooler of beer and a cigar in his mouth.

I WANT MY REAL NASCAR TO COME BACK

Also tired of hearing them whiney ass BOYS complain about the speeds at Talledega, in the words of the late great Earnhardt "if a man does not want to go 220 mph all he has to do is take his damn foot off the gas":thumb sup:

Bet Sr is rolling in his grave over this and the way JR is driving

Ok I have vented enough

I have been a racing fan ever since I can remember and will always be. Heck where could you see car racing then a wreck, beer drinking,TA-Ta's and a fight all in one afternoon. It is true back in the day racers where the show today big brother controls the show. I don't like it. I understand the safety for driver and fan.Thats all good. I would like to see them get out of there cars and fix the problem NASCAR has forced them to be robotic with fines, suspensions that is way to much interference F the hauler and the control button . Every network has a reality TV show. NASCAR needs to get there reality back and stay out of it .
