Default Zappos.com - unbelievable!

Anybody here order from Zappos.com? They are an online shoe store. I have not bought shoes from anywhere but there for 3 or 4 years. Anyway, last night I ordered a pair of shoes as I was going to bed about 10:30. They showed up at our store at about 10:30 this morning. WHAT!! With free ground shipping. I have no idea how they do it, but they are good!

There is no possible way I could order shoes online....I've bought shoes with a size rating of 7 1/2 to size 11...go figure? I generally start at 9 1/2 and go from there, but it's anyone's guess of what size they'll be when I say, "now those fit good".
But overnight deliever, that's GREAT!

The best...I was in Maine last winter, and ordered up several pairs of boating shoes and sneakers for the family, and it arrived the next morning in less then 24 hours, and the shipping was free.

Zappos has free shipping both ways, so if they don't fit you stick a label on the box and send them back and they'll send you a different pair. The amazing part of what happened is when i ordered. 10:30 at night. UPS was certainly closed up on the east coast. They were also probably closed on the west coast as it would be 7:30 there. So where did these shoes come from? It's like they were circling over my house until I hit the order button and they knew just what I wanted! Weird.

I think that is a pretty good indication you are close to a distribution center.

Zappos.com or their sister site, 6pm.com, has everything you want for your feet :

Garatt -- they're cheaper if you buy two pair.

Most of the time I find the shoe at the store, try it on and find the right size. Then I go to zappos.com and place the order. Always there within 48 hours. Always cheaper.

Zappos has a large distribution center south of Louisville, conveniently located close to the UPS shipping center at the Louisville airport. Your order was indeed shipped out that night via UPS! It is amazing that they can do this.

My previous company was an aircraft parts distribution company and we were located in Memphis close to the FedEx hub. Customers could place an order at Midnight eastern time and have the product as early as 8:30 the next morning. They would just come pick up a fully loaded trailer each night and insert right into the nightly sort.
Now that is service!

I passed BOE at 10 tonite and saw Beth packing boxes and sticking on UPS labels. She kept muttering something about Zappos and some SOB ordering shoes in the middle of the night

The reason they are cheaper is that you are not taking up the time and energy of a shoe salesperson trying to make a living. You are stealing

They are awesome, I received a pair in 10 hours once, with free shipping. They also cover your shipping back tot hem if what you buy does not fit. The only place I buy shoes nowadays.

Stealing? What a ridiculious statement. That kid is getting paid minimum wage. I know what I am looking for, just need some clown to go in the back and bring it out.
