Default Happy Thanksgiving

For all those on the north side of the big ditch, Happy Thanksgiving!

May the harvest be plentiful, the spirits chilled just right and the laughter be warm.....Happy Thanksgiving Canada.

Close, whale meat garnished with baby seal on the side, along with some roasted cariboo, elk, venison kovbasa and sliced wild boar. Then we generally have a half dozen or so different kinds of fresh veges plus perogies, holubtsi, golabki, kutia, salads, breads and pickled herring. Generally there is some hot peppers on the table to get the juices flowing. Dad's 88 and Mom's 84, they've been eating it their whole life.......why break with tradition?

Happy NOTB* Thanksgiving, Garett,

Had no idea you folks had one, too. Enjoy, be safe, and go easy on those baby seals.

Oh I ate like a piiiiiiiiig last night and had to roll away from the table. I never realized it until last night, the Misses REALLY does know how to put on a Fine spread with lots of Great food !!! = a 5 star rating.

Well I've been working my ass off this morning trying to burn some my gut off so I'll have room for Thanksgiving dinner #2 tonight at a neighbors house, the Misses and I have been invited to sit in with a Dutch family and their gang. .....for some reason I think I am going to get a lot more hammered tonight than I did with my aging parents and brothers.

Thanks Joe.

Just a bit of triva:

On January 31, 1957, the Canadian Parliament proclaimed:

A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed … to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October.

How are you making out after the storm? ;? Does Japan have a Thanksgiving? If not, will you celebrate one just the same? Will the area be put back together enough to have a grand Thanksgiving dinner?
