Default LEO friend killed in line of duty

Last night a friend of mine was shot and killed in the line of duty after responding to a shots fired incident. We worked together at the same agency for a number of years before he moved on to another local agency.
It is a tragic loss and a huge blow to our local, tight knit community.
He was a outstanding officer and a great guy altogether. He leaves behind a wife and 3 year old daughter.

A second officer was also shot but is expected to be ok.

For those of you that believe in prayer i ask that you keep the families, co-workers, and friends of both of these officers in your prayers, as well as recovery for the injured officer.
I am being flooded with a great deal of emotion myself, and got little sleep last night as the reality hit hard.

Prayers sent, nothing worse than an honest LEO trying to take care of a community and loose their life to some low life scum

As long as we continue to coddle our criminals... this crap will happen more & more often.

LEO's are out there to protect us & will die for us. This makes them heros.

I feel for this officers family & friends, and for all LEO's on the job today, as it gets more & more dangerous every day for these boys.

As a fellow LEO, it always hits close to home when I hear of another officer getting killed. I have 22 years in and it seems like these thugs are getting worse with each year that goes by. My thoughts and prayers are with both families.

Sorry to hear about this tragic loss.

It's always sad to hear the loss of a fellow LEO, even if I never met him.

I hope the suspect is captured and brought to justice...
