Default Video of last night's Shuttle launch

Hope this works.

Video of the Shuttle as it passed east of Jacksonville. It starts off as a yellow blob, but as the angle changes as it comes east of me you can clearly see the engine flames and trail.

The video is a bit "jerky" as I put the camera on the tripod but didn't loosen the screws enough. Lesson learned - either leave the pan screws loose or hand-hold it!

Lights at the bottom of the screen are some street lights due south of my house.

It's amazing how far away you can be and still see that thing. I came very close to driving over to watch it when it was first scheduled as I was in Winter Haven then. I would love to have seen that up close by boat on the Banana River like I did with some friends about 2 years ago.

Just before you could see the engine flame trail, it looks like a something Moses followed to the promised land.

Watching a shuttle launch is on my life list. Since I'm in AZ it doesn't look to hopeful but maybe someday........

You need to make plans - there are only a handful left unless they extend the program life.
