Default DOW 4 year jinx...

For the ones that missed it.
it crashed in 2000, late 2001 was good to invest, it crashed in 2004, 2005 has a good year to invest, it crashed in 2008, 2009 was a good year to invest
it will crash in 2012, 2013 will be good to invest again...

for the ones that lost this opportunity.

look at IP
RCL
BAC
WFC
GS
MS
etc etc etc...

The mudhole we are currently in has nothing to do with "cycles" , over valued stocks/speculation or "trends". One word can be used to describe it: DEBT.

I do not think 2010 will be a good year. Just my .02

If you follow the Mayan calendar, 2012 will have larger issues than falling stock problems.

The mayan calendar is nothing, it ends in 2012 and then it starts over.
it does not mean that 2012 will be the end, is the end of the calendar, not the end of the world, the Mayan calendar might just reset itself and start all over.

the current calendar we have is endeless...

People said the year 2000 will be the end of the world, I'm still here.
some people said 500 years ago that the World will end, and mankind is still here.

Every civilization as predicted the end of the World, is a myth
to control people's minds.

Ok, so how many people can this earth support? Maybe 8 to 10 billion. What are we now...6.5? What is the end game? Where do you see this headed? Maybe not extinction, but the end of civilization as we know it?
I can see it.....

It can happen, still 7 billions people is nothing, China has 1.4 Billion
and one third of USA land and they say they are self suficient...

China, India and Bangladesh have almost 1/2 of the world population
in a less than 1/20 of the World landmass.

The World will support over 30 billion people easy...

Civilization as we know it might end, however I don't think
it will be for overpopulation soon, they say 6 billion people will fit in the state of Rhode Island holding hands...

As soon has country's start to have a negative population growth they start to panic,
more people, more tax payers, more buyer's, more growth...

if 1.4 billion fit in China,
5 billion will fit easily into the USA...

Spain just had a negative population growth in the last years, now the government
is giving 2500 Euros for each born baby, cash for babies...

The USA population is growing at a rate of 3.5 million people
a year, it will take 100 years to double.

less than 10 percent of the World's arable land is being used...

Life will end for some and will start for others, I'm only 38 years old,
for me I don't have to worry about my World ending anytime soon,
in 30 year's I will start to worry about the "World ending"...

Very recently, the experts put forth a very good argument which, when all was said and done, pointed to food and the problems that will arise revolving around our ability to keep making food. All the following factors, pestilence, disease, drought, flood, fire, you name it, will all combine to hamper food production and that will be the ultimate issue. No one wants to come out and say it as it is too much to deal with.

Who really knows? When I had seen the argument presented, it all made perfect sense in light of what is and has been going on.

Regarding the DOW and the markets, make it while we can, spend it while we can and live it up!

Not a trader, not a advisor,
just watch the market...

I used to trade little bit, however I never had enough spare money to play big.

Hold on.

Its not like you went out on a limb back then. DJIA was at 9500?

You had a 50/50 shot and your crash has yet to materialize but you still have 11 months! HA! The question is always "did you take your own advice?"

Is gonna crash in 2013...

I was not that far off, it did not crash in 2012 because they lower the price of gas before the elections...

In 4 months will be a good buying opportunity.

If I were as good as you say you are, I'd be rich and never tell anyone anything.

The only thing holding this market back is Washington. Debt has always been with us and always will be. It's practically meaningless. If 16,000,000,000,000 doesn't make you jump out a window, what will?

People at Dow 11000 were still talking about the double dip recession looming...
