Default wife turning 40 - where to go

ok, I need to pick a place to get away for her 40th. Thinking late fall.We live in Boston. I would like to go somewhere very warm, on the ocean,
no kids! Travel distance/time is important,
I don't want to waste valuable days away from kids in a plane.
Has anyone been to Puerto Rico?I don't think the Bahamas can guarantee warm enough weather.Recommendations?

Leave her at a local mall and go the Bahamas.

you can come here. Direct flights from Boston-Providenciales, or at worst, go from TF Green and change in Charlotte ( or Miami). Same time zone, US dollar, speaka da English, great beaches, not crowded, 600 miles southeast of Miami. Late fall plenty warm. February is coldest month, nights down in the 60's. But through December it's guaranteed warm.

I have. It's overrun with foreigners.

Seriously, a good travel agent would be your best source of advice. They do this for a living.

I don't know how long you have, but look up "Sandals" resort. There are more than one in Jamaica. Been there. Good time.

Give Mexico a look. I am about to book our third yearly trip to Cancun for early October.
The prices are way down and you are perfectly safe in the resort.
Give Dreams Cancun a look.

I took my wife here for our 10th anniversary, I had the same concerns as you, direct flight warm, ocean front and a small, quaint all inclusive. Awesome place and Barbados is great, snorkelling from the beach!!. Probably about 5 hours direct from Boston, good luck:

Southern Florida. Northern Florida will be a bit chilly and they don't always turn on the pool heaters until closer to Thanksgiving.

Unless you want a surprise, you might want to ask her if she has any preferences.

Congratulations and good luck!

Look in the Grenadines. While Mustique Island is expensive, it has really nice accomodations and great restaurants, as well as the opportunity to . rub elbows with the world's rich and famous. It that is not your thing, there are other resorts scattered throughout the Grendadines, and most of the beaches here are to die for.

The Palms, the Grace Bay Club, or Beaches, all on Grace Bay, Providenciales.

About five miles from where I am sitting.
