Default People with hearing loss need to do this

There have been some discussions on hearing loss, here is something positive for many, a letter link from the Hearing Loss Association, letter to President Obama. Please take the time to read it and sign it, this is the last day to do so.

We've bailed out the Financial Industry and the Automotive Industry,
why not the hearing impaired. My only issue is that this legislation
was proposed and is supported by those who derive a large portion of
their income from the sale of hearing aids. Some more honest than others.
How do I know? I was in the business and left because of the abuses I
witnessed. Giving some of these thieves more leverage to take advantage
of not only the client, but the nation, is foolish.

Evidently you are rich, not poor, and not hearing impaired.

I am diametrically opposed to the rapid advancement of this country toward a fully realized socialist state.

Your admonition for me to sign a document that lays yet another brick in that path, under the guise of "better healthcare", is quite insulting.

Your philosophy of making life fairer for others by making it less so for me via forced expatriation of my money has been proven (Lenin, Stalin, Marx, Il, Castro, Pol Pot, et al) definitively throughout history to be a failure.

Now that they have hearing aids that are worth a sh!t I just spent $2400 out of my own pocket for mine.... Money well spent. I do think hearing aids are among the bigest scams going.... If I lose this thing, they will replace it for $300. What does that tell you?
As for Obama paying for even more... Well, I will never qualify for anything free from the government, I worked too hard all my life. So I agree with Al...

Did you even READ what CJS said? Your reply makes no sense, as related to his comments. Unfortunately, the industry is well known for exactly the kind of behavior he reports from the "inside." I could tell you the experiences of two of my old uncles which would curl your hair. Very briefly, about five grand in one case and nearly ten in the other for devices that were basically hundred dollar POS's.

Please explain why it is not enough already that these devices qualify for medical expense deduction from taxable income? Why should those with the condition hearing loss have much more favorable tax treatment than others for their medical expenses?
