Default Now THAT WAS RACIN'

Finish at Talledega today, win at all costs.

Edwards flying through the air as Kesolowski takes the win, car crashing into fence and fans with beers raised and not even ducking the debris.

Like Jimmy Spencer always said just bring back the steering wheel or the trophy at Talledega

Dale Sr must have had a big grin on his face today:thum bsup:

I told the boss this morning if all races ended that way I would watch them more often. The commentators were talking about the "safety fence", and it did catch the car, which was a great thing, but I think I saw a fender or something crashing into the stands. Wonder if anybody will sue Edwards for that?

The entire race was great but what a hell of a finish. Best one of the year so far.

It was great for everybody except that lady who was airlifted out to the hospital. Last I saw, they weren't releasing info on her condition.

That deal with Edwards running across the finish line after the crash was priceless.

The drivers didn't think much of it, the plate races are BS and are dangerious. Spec cars, spec engines might as well be ASA. Wrecking aint racing!!! Dale Jr. had quite a wordsfew to say about it, but not on the air. Edwards was not kind with his comments.

I enjoyed the race but I'll wager that NASCAR is going to over-react about the finish.

Racing at Talladega and Daytona would not change much without plates except they would be going faster.

They would still be bunched up drafting in big packs. It was that way before the plates. It is a function of having a track with enough banking and long enough straights that aero or hp are the limiting factors on speed rather than handling.

I enjoy Talladega and Daytona. Much better racing than Bristol or Martinsville. May be heresy but its true.

As the late great Dale Earnhardt said " if anyone does not like going that fast at Daytona and Talladega all that have to do is take their foot off the gas"

Saw on tv last night that one lady had a broken jaw and the other had a broken bone and they airlifted them to avoid traffic but nothing serious.

Wonder if these fans will have lifetime seats at Talladega;?

Got to love the replay where the one fan on the front row is raising his beer and hat thinking JR was going to win and nerver realized right behind him was a car in the fence and debris going everywhere. He kind of reminded me of the late Harold Kinder(flag man in Nascar for years) and when Bobby Allison did the same thing, Kinder was waving the caution flag with the car headed right toward him and never backed down.

Probably right and I bet he never even took the cigarette out of his mouth or even took a heavy draw on it
