Default water softener results

Some chemical test results for the soft water:
Total hardness >1ppm
Ca hardness >1ppm
Total Clhorides 9ppm
Turbidity .111
pH 8.03

I do not have the reagents available to run a total iron, nor do I have testing capability for Magnisium or manganese, however by subtracting Ca Hd number from the total Hd number you can get a ball park estimate. My water taste better, soap lathers and rinses off better in the shower. We have also been able to reduce laundry detergent.

Raw untreated water:
Total Hardness 45ppm
Total Ca.26ppm
Total Chlorides 20ppm
pH 7.81
Turbidity .217

The margin of error for the turbidity test method is actually larger than the resulting number. Like wise the ppm number for Hd and Ca may have an error of 1 or 2 ppm.

Results are expressed in parts per million to convert results to grains per gallon ÷17.1.
