Default Burger King and the Sponge Bob commercial

Burger King has a Sponge Bob commercial on now promoting Kid's Meals that talks about square booty and butts. For the most part I am very hard to offend but I CANNOT believe they are putting this on as a national ad campaign and some idiot approved it... I guarantee this will keep me from spending any of my money there for years.... It is also hard for me to believe that the creators of Sponge Bob allowed the use of their character in this way....

How about this one from Quiznos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LQpRQh2KSQ
Tell me that doesn't have flagrant homosexual content. I don't know who comes up with this but it's kind of absurd to think it sells more "toasty torpedos"

Yes, that one is very creepy too and I commented about that one to my wife when I saw it, but I think the fact that BK was selling kids meals is what really hacked me off...

Just read on AOL that BK is pulling this ad.

Burger King scraps 'Texican Whopper' ads after complaint.

After complaints that it inappropriately displayed the Mexican flag in ads in Europe for its new Tex-Mex style "Texican Whopper," Burger King apologized and said it would change the campaign.

WalletPop reported on the ad Tuesday, touching off a lot of comments from readers on both sides of the issue.

The ads featured a squat Mexican nicknamed "Just a Little Bit" draped in his country's flag next to a tall American cowboy. Mexico's ambassador to Spain said posters released in Europe inappropriately displayed the Mexican flag, whose image is protected under national law. He requested the ad campaign be discontinued, according to a Reuters story.

Here's the ad as captured on YouTube:

I think that new Burger King square butt ad is pretty funny. However, I went to McDonald's with my sons yesterday.

I thought the same thing. To have a kids meals associated that song is quite baffling.

At some point in the song the "King" says "to make me rich" as well - I think that is a foregone conclusion - would have thought the SBob people would have enough money than to go with this type of advertising - my kids love SBob - but are not fans of BKing - won't be a draw for us

It's not a problem -- the Teleprompter has sent its ******* dummy front man south of the border to apologize on behalf of all Americans everywhere, and to offer $-millions, maybe even $-billions in apology payments.

I think I would eat at a burger king before I eat at any Dominos in North Carolina...

http://www.comcast.net/articles/news...mployee.video/

Time to short Dominos stock?

What, with kids these days and the lax attitude about doing one's job, I may never eat out again.......Probably goes on everywhere.......Maybe we need to stay with the Mom and Pop stores where the owner makes the food - especially where you see him....

Sorry Cracker, but I thought the ad was hilarious.

And only mildly naughty. You must be a really dirty old man.

Burger Kings ads have sucked for years. I can't believe some of what they have allowed. Remember "Hootie" of the Blowfish as a rhinestone cowboy?
