Default Thank you Harry, Baseball just changed forever.

Harry Kalas came to Philly in 1971, I was 12 years old. I was a baseball fan then and still am today, largely because of the velvet baritone voice of Harry Kalas. He was also the voice of NFL films and Campbell soup.

Harry died in the press box today while preparing to broadcast the Phils / Nationals game. He was scheduled to meet with the president tomorrow as part of the World Series Champion Phillies.

The game changed for me today and it will be a long, long time before I listen to another Phils game without thinking about Harry and longing to hear him call one more time: "Fair or foul... it's a fair ball HOMERUN and you can put another one in the win column for the Fightin Phils".

I am glad he got to call the '08 World Series.

May God bless and comfort his family and his fans, both here in the Delaware Valley and around the world.

Heard that on 1010 this afternoon. Used to listen to him up in Yardley.

RIP Harry K.
