Default Haunting?

O.K. - is it the beer and fruitcake combo snack I had earlier, is my brain out of tune with my ears, or is this just a "haunting" song????????? ;?

Hi Bruce!
I agree with ya. A bit of a haunted sound, VERY COOL !! I also like the song & style of the band.

I don't know about haunting. I'm leaning more towards garbage.

Do people actually pay for music like that?

(BTW, I'm not some old dude, I'm 29)

I don't know what's worse, the lousy music or the creepy barefoot girl.

Hmm, well, the band wasn't bad, but the broad was a little whacked. I think they could use a new lead singer.

Well at least we know she didn't get the lead with her looks.

I gotta agree, not impressed. The creepy barefooted chick is P.J. Harvey. She is well known in the Goth music community. Her voice is above average when she is serious about her singing.

You want haunting?!? -- the concerto from the 1991 French/Polish film masterpiece 'The Double Life of Veronique'

The movie itself remains one of my favorites, a collaboration between director Krzysztof Kieslowski and Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner. It features a young Irene Jacob playing the parts of the main characters; Veronique (in France) and Weronika (in Poland). She would be chosen to play the main character, again, in the closing film of the Trios Couleurs trilogy, 'Red'. That trilogy, a collaboration between Kieslowski and Preisner is an undisputed hallmark in cinema. Many of the elements that are standard throughout the 'Trios Couleurs' films were first developed in 'The Double Life of Veronique'.

'The Double Life of Veronique' is available from Netflix. It was re-released a couple years ago by Criterion on DVD. The soundtrack used to be available on CD, is now collectible, kind of expensive, but beautify and haunting.

WOW!! Talk about harsh critics..LOL!!!
I guess I'm in the minority here, because I actually LIKED it...I agree, she isin't a real "looker", but, many great singers aren't (Janis Joplin, anyone?) Actually, MANY times, the better they look, the less talented they are, IMO, anyway

I find this clip to be very beautiful, I really liked it...but, it didn't seem "haunting" to me...although that conductor dude was pretty scary looking Seriously, I really liked this, I will probably rent it at some near future point, if I'm still around. Thanks!
