Default Getting the troops out in the outdoors

Let me take a min to introduce myself my name is Don and I am a moderator and founding member of http://warriorsoutdoors.com . What we are trying to do is give soldiers a place to go to link up with sportsman such as yourselves and get out in the outdoors....whether that be through hunting, fishing, camping, 4wheeling........etc.
If you have the time please check the site out take the time to register and mention it to your friends. This ambitous undertaking can only succeed with your support.

Here is a copy of our press release:

On March 23, 2009, the website warriorsoutdoors.com was released to the public to gain the support of sportsmen across the country. The website and forum has been created to support the men and women of the armed forces that are stationed away from home at bases across the country. Many of these men and women share the same passions as we do for the outdoors, but do not know where to go, or even have the equipment necessary to pursue their favorite activities in the outdoors. No one group can do this alone, however if sportsmen across the country band together, we can make a difference for the thousands of men and women across the nation who truly deserve it. The website will also help sportsmen with coordination efforts required when holding larger events. Many of these events will be for members of rehabilitation units and wounded veterans groups. Most of these members have difficulties making short term plans due to medical constraints imposed by their military doctors. Planning and hosting events makes it possible for them to enjoy the outdoors as well. Please visit the website and forum at www.warriorsoutdoors.com for more information on how you can be involved as a sportsman or sponsor. We owe these men and women no less than the best we can do!

Hey guys we really appreciate the support.the only way this works is if individuals such as yourselves register on the forum and get guys out when you get a chance. We are trying to facilitate making that possible.

I have registered with the site, but I would suggest another thread in The Boating Forum, there is tons more exposure there.

This is a great thing your doing.

I would be happy to post over there but i dont want to take advantage of your moderation staffs genorosity. It would be great if one of them would move it over there or give me a heads up to post it over there if that is where it will give the site more exposure.

Thanks for bringing this back up. I've been dragging my feet, but I just posted a trip offer on Lake Ontario for some King Salmon fishing. I hope this takes off, good luck.

Boat sits on the water, 2 1/2 hours from home. I'm there all the time. 15 minute boat ride to the salmon fishing when things are good. Right now, things are not so good, you gotta work at it.
