Default AIG to sue Government

AIG to sue the Government!

I have had enough of this crap.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...032003089.html

"The big insurer is trying to recover $306.1 million of taxes, interest and penalties from the Internal Revenue Service. Among other things, AIG is contesting an IRS determination last year that the company improperly claimed $61.9 million of tax credits associated with complex international transactions. "

I do care about wasted billions, but I cannot condemn each and every AIG's action without significant, if not all the available facts.

If you have looked at what is being alleged by AIG, the IRS' statement of position response, and concluded that the AIG allegation is without merit, then accept my apologies. If you just read a quirp from the Washington Post and decided the "crooks are at it again", then I do not need to apologize for my statement.

All I know is that they had their hands out, then they pay outrageous bonuses out after receiving the money, now they have the balls to SUE the very same people who kept them alive.

No your right, I guess I need to dig deeper and make sure my feelings are based on all of the facts.....

For those that haven't heard yet, AIG under-reported the bonus payouts by about $60-million. Total bonuses are closer to $240-million, almost $1/4-billion! -- not the $180-million reported.

And for that haven't heard yet, AIG donated $100,000 to the New York democrat party (aka communist party, same thing) just before the democrat governor jumped onboard to help negotiate the AIG bailout.

You know that Swiss bank that agreed to $1/2-billion fine for helping US citizen evade taxes -- well, did you also know that AIG tossed a few $billion in bailout funds at that bank before it agreed to the fine? American tax payers paid that banks fine.

And none of this compares to where Citibank is where their questionable use of bailout funds. I don't even want to get started on it -- the whole thing is a huge cesspool of smarm!!!
