Default Everything is booked - Abacos here we come!

Meeting up with my three brothers and their wives tomorrow in West Palm, flying to Marsh Harbor on Friday. Pick the boat up Friday afternoon for 8 days bareboating! Hopetown Saturday and then the Nippers roast on Sunday!

Back to Fort Lauderdale for a couple of days them home.

I will try to get an updated Kalik pic!

I hope we can get some sort of wireless out there otherwise my VOR boat is going to be sailing past me in the Bahamas if I can't turn it around Terra Del Fuego!

You guys behave while I'm gone.

well weather is crappy through monday. calling for winds in the 40 knot range near end of week. there was not a slip or mooring ball available in hopetown last night.

I'm at hopetown marina in a motor cat called the abaco lady. come say hello.

Sounds like a great time. We have only been once and it was about 8 years ago. What airline are you flying and what does it run these days? When we went, we flew Bahamas Scare to Marsh Harbor, rented a boat from Rich's Rentals and stayed at the Abaco Inn on Elbow Cay.

I have been watching Barometer Bob. Calling for 20-25 knots through Sunday, which will make for some needed planning Saturday and Sunday. Then 10-15 for the rest of the week - which is perfect for sailing.

Can you keep an eye on the forecast for me and give me an update if you hear of any changes up or down?

Will look to get over to you or at least hail you! We had hoped to be at Hopetown Saturday night so I'll see what the seas look like for motoring over. Would also like to know who has mooring buoys now so that I can perhaps call from Marsh and try and reserve one.

Sweet yacht. In 04 we did a 5 day trip on a Privilege 495 with captain and crew (husband and wife). Nothing better than sitting back and let someone else do most of the work.

I rented that boat for my spring break back in college a couple years ago. I had the 42 and my buddy had the 40 footer. You'll have a wonderful time. I think they said max people was 12, but we had 14 bodies on there no problem (helps when 9 are girls). Great boat, I'm extremely jealous.

yeah we've been watching old Barometer Bob too. trying to do the crossing back to fl and it aint happening this week. my mom will only do 2-4 with no n winds. they are stacked up like 13 footers in the gulf now.

for mooring call hope town marina first and see if they got one then lucky strick, then abaco bahama charters.

I've saved you a few kalik over at the local bars

you can get internet through oii.net for different prices. we got $40 for a week rate. or got to harbours edge for a kalik and ask for there wireless password.

its rain all day here today but the pond is glass.

Hey First Boat. Is the Conch Inn still operating in Marsh Harbour? Stayed there way back in 1981 in my prior life. May be about time to go back if its there. Or if its not. Just curious.

And I'm dying to hear your reply so I can look at that sig again. Maybe the best sig I've seen here or anywhere else. Or possibly I just need to get laid.

Mesmerizing.

Firstboat. are you guys in Orchid Bay? Saw a boat by that name as we went by into the marina. Tried to hail you with no success. We are in OB Marina.

BTW 35 miles an hour winds are no fun! But the waves on the Atlantic side of Nippers are fun! Plenty of pics when I get back.

Yeah, you east coasters are a bunch of sissies. The Atlantic doesn't have any waves. It has ripples -- compared to what we have in the Pacific Ocean.

I am always amazed to see pix from members in Florida with the ocean flat. It is a rare day we see anything close to that.
