Just love that stuff.

So I guess it will take the top fuelers another year or two to crush the 4 second mark and start slamming the high 3s. I can't wait.

Say hi to my guys at the end of the run in the pretty orange and blue helicopter. We are out there every year. The first time I went I stood down on the start line, I almost lost my hearing and almost crapped my pants from the rumble.

Good times though.

First winternationals (later gatornationals) I went to was at Spruce Creek at Daytona. Jeezus it was cold. Saw Thunderbolts and Dodge hemi's. So now, 40+ years later, gotta guy in the area who has 2 Thunderbolts and a few of those awesome 426 hemis. You think a hemi sounded great there, ya oughta hear it in a warehouse. Instant woodie.

That race was in the mid 60's and I was there also. It was so cold my unit froze. The hottest thing there was the Grand Spaulding Dodge running about 165 in the quarter. It was held the night before the Daytona 500. The King #43 won for his second time.

I still remember one of the "ball coaches" having puppies when a nitro burning car moved under power on the gym floor at HS. Our eyes and noses were watering and burning inside the school that afternoon.

1979 Nashoba Valley Technical High School. Ball sports are for jocks. Parties are for freaks.

My major was machine shop and parties.
