Default Cowboy fans are you happy or sad TO gone

Saw this report this am and Mike & Mike are discussing it now

Owens released by the Cowboys: Early Thursday morning, reports surfaced that the Cowboys released WR Terrell Owens. Though no official word has yet been handed down, sources tell ESPN, FOX Sports and the Dallas Morning News that T.O. has been released. Owens was rumored to be released after he was termed a locker room cancer and a reason for the downfall of the club. Owens' production slipped in 2008 as well, as he had only 1,052 yards on 69 receptions (15.2 avg.) and 10 touchdowns with a mere two 100-yard games. Cornerbacks played physical football with him, and he only burned defenses that gave him soft coverage off the line of scrimmage. Owens signed a four-year extension with $12 million guaranteed just last offseason.

The Cowboys should have never signed him on to play in the first place but Jerry Jones has never been one to stop and THINK before he does something ~

I hope that he IS gone - at least THAT would make for some GOOD NEWS for a change....and we could ALL use some GOOD NEWS!~

Is it T O or Jason G bad play calls Tony R , Head coach ?Things was way diffrent here in big D when Bill P had his hand on the team .I go once a year to watch them and had seen T O in action he can make plays. Where is the team work?. That's why we get disapointed in mid Nov .I'm thinking more like how about them Texans.

Having been burned by Vick, I pray Atlanta does consider adding another scumbag to the team. Some folks are just uncoachable.

At least we have the T.O. repellent (The Tuna) down here in Miami.. Im all about second chances for people but just how many chances do you have to give someone before you just give up on them. Best of luck to him with whatever team will take him. (As long as he doesn't go tothe Patsies or the Jests!)

1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns for an NFL reciever is not exactly a poor year. There will be some team out there that is hungry for that kind of production that will give him a chance.

That is such a catch 22. As a staunch Cowboy "hater" you are sad to see him go because he was so bad for their team chemistry. But, as a fan of the Skins, you know he will burn you several times during the year.
Two reasons why I would have let him go too. If you look back at the Skins/Cowboy game(1st) he was thrown to 21 times and complained he didn't get the ball enough after they lost. Second, in an interview later in the year, he said the more I complain, the more I get my way. Enough is enough, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!!!

Bet he is already visiting with Oakland or Washington. Sounds like his only steps down from the disfunctional Cowboys.

Thats the best news you Cowboy fans could of asked for.

And I too hope that Atlanta stays clear of this trouble maker. They were given a blessing when Vick got popped and then they started weeding out some of the other infections inside the team also. I hope they stay on the same track of cleaning.

I'm happy. Addition by subtraction in my mind. As to where he'll end up? Interesting question since you have to figure they shopped him hard to find a trade but came up with nada. By just releasing him, they get nothing except a big salary cap hit. Maybe Jerry privately "telegraphed" his goal with TO and lost the "poker game" with potential suitors.

Only if they live in a hole that does not get ESPN, Fox Sports or any other sports news. Otherwise they would already know what a cancer he is to teams he plays for.

I hear that! I don't think Snyder is that desparate. I was going to say stupid, but love him or hate him, Dan Snyder is not a stupid man.

He would be hard to pass up, LOADS of talent and I think he really just wants to win and win it all.

Really do not care for all the drama but he gives it all when on the field and that is what makes the difference.

Would not hurt my feelings if the Panthers went after him to play along with Steve Smith but don't think he fits the mold of a Panther.

I am betting RAIDERS
