Default Bailout assistance for a boat!

I'm trying to find the positive side to this new proposed homeowner bailout (and not my bilgepumps).

Since I foolishly bought a house within my budget, I don't qualify for any fund redistributions. So, do you think I convert my boat to my primary residence, skip a few payments, and then let everyone else make my boat payments for me?

There's got to be a positive side to this somewhere!

I'm sure the home-owner assistance will come as a loan or loan guarantee. I'd bet it will only apply to a primary residence with a default to brick and mortar if you have non-conventional housing also.

I wish you the best of luck though!

You seem to misunderstand the program. It's not to help out homeowners. It's to create hundreds of thousands jobs for new bureaucrats, to administer these programs!

That's why it will be loans. They will want the money back to pay the Civil Servants.
