Its the Jet-Lev Flyer. It looks to be from Germany.

Video 2 is good, too.

Get in line, they're taking orders starting January 2009.

It seems cool but not practical. On a closed bay or lake it would be great but around other boaters and jet skiers its a death trap. Just my opinion. !!

I've hit my foot with a pressure washer before and it wasn't pleasant. Can you imagine accidently getting your foot or leg into one of those streams?

I was thinking the same thing. Ouch

They mention this thing can also go under water. It doesnt really look like it floats so I doubt I would strap that thing on and intentionally blast myself into the deep.
Although it does look like a blast (no pun intended) to play with
(well, maybe just a little pun intended)

Boy, it would be quite a surprise to see that guy pop out of the water near you.

In a few seconds you could wash your vehicle & everyone else's parked next to the water while you're up there , & brother could you rain on someone's parade if you weren't careful!
It would probably be a little too efficient at harvesting clams as well, ..... but the trailing support craft could make one heck of an emergency bailer.

Looks like something our local fire department would buy--after they sold their small hover craft.

Thats cool, needs more hose though. That must be a hell of a water pump he is dragging around in that pod.

Definatly not practical, I doube they are targeting people looking to get from point A to point B. Its a novelty.

A pressure washer is pumping the water down to a stream as thin as a paperclip. I bet by the time the water stream reached his feet its all dispersed. If he put his hand in right at the nozzel I think it would hurt.

That guy showed up at King Harbor in Redondo Beach CA last year around July 1st. I had the opportunity to speak with him and he was quite personable. The pump engine is a modified ultra light engine (Chunya). He went out of the harbor and off of the beach performed some pretty tricky maneuvers. Later that day the Redondo Harbor Patrol with the Redondo Fire Depart went out to hassel the guy when he returned from playing, citing that he was somehow a hazard. It is on youtube somewhere. If you find it you can see me in my whaler in a couple of shots.
