leave them, the lights hanging on the gutters, 3ft tall pre lit trees, wreaths all in the store. You only use the stuff once a year for less than a month, your power bill goes up, they take up space in the attic, they dont last, there is really no need for the decorations.

I love my lighted plastic Santa and the 10-12 strings of lights that I put on my pier every year.

damn, those inflatable things are hideous. I like Xmas lights, but those things are akin to or worse than the pink flamingos people used to put out. I agree, Leave them at wall mart.

My neighbor still has his ladder leaning against his house that he used two years ago to put up christmas lights. I'm talking an extension ladder sitting on his picnick table to his second floor. I guess it does make it easier putting up the lights and taking them down every 11 months. Everytime we have a good wind I hope it will blow over. Lucky we have trees between our houses so we don't have to look at this thing everytime we go in our back yard.

Even worse is when people don't even leave the damn things plugged in and just let them lay limp in the yard.

There is a house near me that has a little one. At least they put it in their back yard so its not so noticeable.

The tacky yard decorations are good for retail stores.

Plus, they keep a few hundred (at least) Chinese workers employed.

Nothing says happy birthday to Jesus like:

I have a Jesus who appears in my front yard every week. But he brings a lawnmower.

Folks down the street have a display with Santa in his sleigh pulled by 8 pink flamigos.
