I would move the pattern towards the door, making it a full, uncut tile with 1/2 tiles, triangles, filling in...you don't want small pieces in the highest traffic areas....the small pieces will be at the back wall...make sense?...it would give you larger pieces next to the tub....usually don't grout next to the tub but come within 1/4-1/8 in gap and caulk...the tub will move with the weight of the water and persons...cracking the grout....have fun

I always try to take the approach of "curb appeal". By that I mean I always try to get a full tile centered in the doorway and running away from it. All the other cuts are incidental. As far as efficiency is concerned, Diagonal is not the going to be your best route. It looks great but takes more tile and more cuts. Also, I butter each tile with thinset instead of the floor on a small project so my lines are always visible. If you mark the walls you can come back and put a chalk line on your mat. Good luck with your project.

Nice idea...what kind of bit are you using?
Just a standard "roundover" carbide bit. They are about $25.00 at Home Despot and about $6 on eBay. The stuff sands and files very well.
