Default Whose companies are giving out Xmas Bonuses this year?

Just curious how many are doing this. We employ about 60 people and we are giving out bonuses again and a bit more than last year. We are giving bonuses to employees that were laid off this year as well.
As for next year, who knows? ;?

I did. A few years ago I went to a flat bonus per employee no matter the job description. We had previously based it on salary.

My bonus is 2 weeks my salary, I'll also be getting another bonus because I brought in an account back in January that did 200K with us. My bonus from that will be 5%

We're getting 44 hours pay here. Also received a 30 hour bonus last week.
In a manufacturing company no less...

I always thought bonuses were like Bigfoot. I've always heard about them, but I have never seen one.

I am giving out end-of-year performance bonuses to those that have earned them. I terminated the "xmas bonus" program years ago when I realized all it stood for was deferred compensation and the term "bonus" didn't apply.

Similar here - bonus is just that, an earned bonus based upon productivity. It is done quarterly. Nothing additional/special for Christmas in terms of pay. The lucky ones are home, many are in the field overseas. That's one of the reasons we pay very well.

I will make a bonus, but it is based on performance and not just for Christmas. I did find out that we will probably not be getting a cost-of-living pay increase in our pay.

my firm gives raises and performance bonuses in september: i got an 8% raise and 16% bonus...not too shabby. nothing additional is done for christmas on a firm-wide basis. however, certain partners are known for giving out "spot awards" that just happen to coincide with the holidays. unfortunately, i'm not working for one of those partners this year.

of note: the regional holiday party was cancelled this year. i had heard the budget for that party usually ran around $400-500K. there was a smaller party for our account team -- i heard party's were at the discretion of account leads. if they were making their numbers, the account got a party...otherwise, "no soup for you!"

My company gives end-of -year bonuses to hourly employees, based on how the company did profit-wise over the year. Typically anywhere between $2-$10k I think. Sales people are salaried. I'm in sales. I guess the reasoning is that I make commissions throughout the year (and probably make quite a bit more money than most others in this small company). Still kind of sucks though. But I can't complain - very lucky to have my job for many reasons other than $$. The company is also taking everyone (16 people or so) out to Ruth's Chris for the XMas party tomorrow evening, which is cool...

While I agree that bonuses are earned I do a Christmas bonus simply as a Christmas present and nothing else. That's why I do a flat bonus. Salaries, other bonuses, and commissions are performance based. But then again, we are a fairly small shop.

So you provide a Christmas Account for your employees.
