Default Urine Tests

Someone sent this to me today and I thought I'd share it because it sure does make sense, to me anyway.

"Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sittingaround doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?"

Fan friggin tastic idea! And thats just the tip of the iceberg, these people living on welfare long term know all the tricks to get more money without working. They really need to set strict guidelines for people to collect welfare.

For example....

1) Clean pee..no drugs at all. Smoke a joint you are cut off for 6 months.

2) Upon getting aproved to recieve welfare there will be no increase for new children. Wanna have more kids? Get a job!

3) If you get caught commiting any crime other than a traffic infraction you are cut off for 1 year.

You get the idea.

Additioonally, I have always liked the idea of requiring birth control shots for all women on welfare. Get a shot, then get your check

give those a$$ holes a broom and let them sweep up the county parks, or do something functional to help the community. Can't find a job..........we'll make one for you. May increase the desire to seriously hunt for one.

I'm very sensitive to those that can't work, but the definition of can't is very loose these days. I agree that someone that has back trouble probably wont make it 20 minutes as a roofer or brick mason, but that doesn't mean that they can't push a pencil or stuff envelopes. Not saying these folks need to change the world, just contribute SOMETHING to justify their unearned income.

As a reminder, welfare is for families with children or adults with disabilities, not for your average unemployed adult.

To make it work there needs to be goals set on getting families off welfare. And time limits. If the parents aren't meeting those goals and time frames then either take away the children or keep sending the welfare checks. Newt had a handle on welfare and how to make it work. You may recall the flack he got with his comment about the need to start gov't sponsored orphanages as part of comprehensive welfare reform.

Overall, it is not an easy problem to solve.

Many people are born into this welfare cycle, and the kids are raised to stand by the mailbox every month, waiting for the check. They live what they learned from mom & dad, and the cycle goes on and on. Sad state of affairs to say the least. White, black, latino, it dose not matter. These people will put in overtime making sure they have all the bases covered to collect the check. They actually will run away from any work, for fear that they will make too much and loose the bennys. Fix that? Yeah, right.

I just posted this in the bilge..........

Subject: AWNAA

Washington, DC- Congress is considering sweeping legislation that
will provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No
Abilities Act (AWNAA ) is being hailed as a major legislative goal by
advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or
ambition.

'Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and
drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in
society,' said California Senator Barbara Boxer. 'We can no longer
stand by and allow People of Inability to be ridiculed and passed
over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant
special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have
some idea of what they are doing.'

In a Capitol Hill press conference, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi
and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the U.S.
Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing
opportunity without regard to performance. Approximately 74 percent of
postal employees lack any job skills, making this agency the single
largest U. S. employer of Persons of Inability.

Private-sector industries with good records of non-discrimination
against the Inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry
(68%), and home improvement 'warehouse' stores (65%). At the state
government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an
excellent record of hiring Persons of Inability (63%).

Under the Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million
'middle man' positions will be created, with important-sounding titles
but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of
purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given so
as to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable
employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to
corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability
into middle-management positions, and gives a tax credit to small and
medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for
every two talented hires.

Finally, the AWNAA contains tough new measures to make it more
difficult to discriminate against the Non-abled , banning, for
example, discriminatory interview questions such as, 'Do you have any
skills or experience that relate to this job?'

'As a Non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who
have something going for them,' said Mary Lou Gertz , who lost her
position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, due
to her inability to remember rightey tightey, lefty loosey . 'This new
law should be real good for people like me,' Gertz added. With the
passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens
will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Senator Dick Durban (D-IL): 'As a Senator with no abilities, I
believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be
extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as
lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of
his or her adequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great
nation and a good salary for doing so.'

Just1more great post agree 100%

The problem with welfare is you can only work so many hours and make so much while you are reciving a check from welfare, so there is no way to get ahead or get away from this style of life.

In our area the city said if you live in public housing they require that you do so many hours of work around the public housing. They all started screeming slavery and the city back down from this requirment.

I did my own personal test of people on unemployment. I had several people call asking if we were hiring and after I said no they would ask if they could put me down as a reference and I sad no. Thats when I got this idea. When the next people call I would say no but my buddy down the road needed a secretary and paid really good. I then gave them one of my back lines to see how many calls I got. I did this about 25 times and only one person ever called me back. That one person who did call I said they could use me as a reference because they must actually be looking for a job. So if my numbers are close that means that only 4 out of every 100 people on unemployment actually are out looking for work.
