Default What'd you have for dinner today?

Well, I guess since it wasn't Thanksgiving here, I only had a dinner of squid, octopus and Calamari.........good it was, but it wasn’t turkey and stuffing.

Chilled lobster with a bunch of diff't sauces, then the traditional, ass-kicking Turkey meal, great wine and an apple pie to die for...

Went next door for afternoon drinks - and Tacquitos, home made guacamole, and other Mexican snacks. Was offered shots of Jose Cuervo Black but declined in favor of Miller Light instead. No sense screwing up the day with that stuff!

Then turkey, creamed green beans, mashed rudabaker and carrots, roast taters, white gravy. Followed by choice of Pumpkin or Apple pie and ice cream....

We kept it simple this year. Turkey, mashed potatoes (red potatoes), turkey gravy, stuffing, fried oysters, corn, beans, pumpkin pie, apple pie. We have 4 apple trees in the back yard and always have an oversupply of apples this time of year. Plus my wife makes killer apple pie. I am currently recovering from pneumonia and strep throat so didn't crack open the nice bottle of Bordeaux that we were saving.

I hope everyones T-giving day went well and that everyone sat back and gave thanks for all that we have.

Yikes.........pneumonia AND strep throat.......all that coughing must have been a real bitch on the sore throat. That combination would be like having diarrhea and hemorrhoids at the same time.

I had strep throat for years until I had my tonsils removed, so I know what you're going through. I'm surprised you were able to open your mouth to put a spoonful of food in it.
Hope you recover soon bud.
