Default Samsung 32 in TV model differences

The web-site isnt much help - trying to compare the LN32A300 to the LN32A330 The 300 is 100 cheaper but looks like it may have more features. ? Also I have just bought the 330 but just got a flyer - the 300 is on sale at Walmart only at 5 am tomorrow - and they have 12 in the big stores

For some features the comparison has a blank that can't mean it doesn't have it. For aspect ratio one says widescreen for the other nothing? For S video one says no, the other nothing. Even for resolution one says 720 the other nothing ?

Just found the detailed sheeets

The 300 has NTSC/ATSC tuner the other just NTSC - is this important.

Anybody care to decipher what the difference between these other features such as composite AV input (what is that? - the 300 has it (shared with component whatever that means)) or the SRS TruSound XT or without the ST ?

Not a techi here, but I think that you want 1080 resolution and an HDMI connection for the HD cable box and DVD for optimum picture. If you use the CATV connector or even the five wire set up you get with the HD cable box, the picture is not as perfect as it can be.

With the HDMI, it is one connection for video and the sound.

I bought a 37" Vizio at Walmart for 650.00 a few weeks back. By the time I was done with the wall mount, cables and extended warranty, just under 1,000.00, but it looks great and really changed the whole room. A wall mount and snaking the wires is a super clean look. A bit off the question, I am sure that someone else will chime in for you. Good luck and thanks for your part in stimulating the economy.

Happy T-day.

Thanks..

The Visio is a great unit I have seen several. I have one Samsung and other Samsung acessories in this room so want to stick with that look. I just mounted a 40 on the wall in another room and YES it is a great hi-tech look. I don't think they even sell the 1080 much with 32 and under any more as they say in the smaller sets its hard to tell ?

Happy Thanksgiving! - My boat is down in ChesterAuto Marine getting a jack plate installed - finally - that's my Christmas present to me...But mainly to do mypart to stimulate the local economy there

S Video and composite video are analog formats. HDMI and component are digital. An ATSC tuner tunes over the air digital broadcast. I'm pretty sure that all TVs must have an ATSC tuner unless they selling it as a monitor and not a TV.

I'll second the recomendation on the Vizio. It's a lot of TV for the money and Walmart usually has the best prices on Vizio.

Both of the tvs you are looking at have the same number of pixels. The dynamic contrast ratio on the LN32A330 is higher and that is why it is a nicer tv. It also has a few more connections that you might want or need in the future and supposedly slightly better speakers. They are great tvs and you will love either one.
