pulling out of Detroit (biggest reveal show) and LA - another major intro show

Smart move for them. What have they had to reveal since they brought back the Z car? Same old line up every year.

cutting Duluth out of the sched is not a problem... but DETROIT AND LA?

Smart move?

remains to be seen - you send a terrible pubic message when you do this at a MAJOR show - you are conspicuous by your absence....and rumors about your health abound afterward....I watched Porsche do it a few times much to their chagrin later....

(and yes, I know Merc was not at Ft Laud...I disagree with that too....)

I'd start by saying at least they don't have their hand out for free cash at our expense.

The new Maxima is much nicer than years past.

The Maxima is the high point of their everyday-driver offerings. Everything else is mundane, with the exception of the GT-R.
Agreed that they do need to at least maintain a presence, but it is probably hard to justify such a huge expense in tough economic times.
