Default OK - new shoe question

just started looking....

Need a pair of shoes to work in where the dress code is business casual. (slacks and golf type shirt)

I'll be standing on concrete a lot and also on boats so I guess I'm asking for a upscale boat shoe with extreme cusinioning....

a rockport marine, possibly?

I was looking for Rugged Shark boat shoes here w/ a few examples. I saw them last winter, and they look very "cushiony".
not sure in Boater's World is the best deal, but maybe they can fill you in on the info. good luck!

In my books there is but one shoe that would go on my feet > Clarks <...... "Air Mover".

A number of years back I had the cartilage removed from both knees.......I NEED to buy
a SERIOUS shoe. I'm on my third pair and I don't begrudge one single penny of the $300
a pair they cost me.....they are worth even more then that to me.

Crocs?

I'm kidding- I like Rugged Shark. Last time I looked Ecco were a little less "fashionable" (IMO) but very sturdy and comfortable.

Boy I should be buying my Clarks from the States.

Great Price
or
Better Price

Wow, those are good prices!

Some people will buy based on price or a brand name, me I go for comfort and performance first and foremost.....I figure I'm worth the difference.

Thanks for all the replies...just got back from our local major shoe store here and tried the sebagos, sperrys and rockports...the rockport won out for my needs..I wear orthotics and these fit the best as they're like a track shoe for dress....- (high sides)

Glen, go to see here:

http://www.swissmasaius.com/

This is extreme cushioning and reworking your muscle display again. Expensive, the sole wears off fast, but hell comfortable. I had back pain for a year without solution and found it there. They have some casual looking as well.

Clarks are good but not as good. MBT are double the price though. I have been buying 5 pairs of clatcks with a quality going down pairs by pairs, and I just bought my second pair of MBT.

They are both made in Saigon, but had to buy them in Europe ;?

Edit however, check and get used of the new stability with MBT shoes, which might be questionable on a boat.
