Default F1 World Championship to be decided Sunday

Anybody gonna watch the race in Brazil?

I'm hoping Massa/Ferrari can pull it off but it will be tough.

Robert Kubica the fastest Pole in the world! Well, looks like he is out of the running for championship but has had a great season none the less. Anyone who can knock off Hamilton is cool with me -

Still footage and cool music of Kubica's crash in Montreal in '07 -

Must have had a guardian angel with him in this one...

Is Hamilton true talent or a flash in the pan? I am glad to see Ferrari doing well. I'm also glad to see Red Bull pissing away cubic dollars at the back of the grid.....

This has been quite a year in F1. Good to see teams other than Mclearen and Ferrari doing well.
Hope Hamilton goes out early and Massa wins.

I also am very glad to see the Red Bull pissing on there shoes, over hyped teams over priced useless product. A Hamilton off the track trip would be nice to watch.

Bill,
I have watched every race since Hamilton started and obviously, he has talent but he has a ways to go before he is mature enough to be a true champion. He has made some bonehead mistakes the last 2 years. I think the greatest bonehead move was when he ran into the back of Raikkonen at the end of pitlane in Montreal this year! It is rather funny to see a "C" team like Torro Rosso trumping their parent team, Red Bull.

Lotsa guys have talent, but it's the standouts like Schumacher and Prost who didn't make bonehead mistakes that were the REAL champions. It's fun to watch immature drivers who are over their heads, but in the end it's consistency that counts. "To finish first you must first finish".!

I've gotten away from F1 in the last couple years. However, I did drive the Monaco circuit in a street car a couple years ago..I can't imagine doing that in an F1 car.

BTW, does she ever get tired of rubbing those chest puppies? I could watch that for hours............

Nope. She's like the little energizer bunny from heaven.

I had the pleasure of driving on the circuit at Spa, Belgium in 1997. What a thrill that was!

Massa is P1 for tomorrow and Hambone is P4. Turn 1 should be quite interesting especially with Alonso right behind Hambone.

What kind of RPM's do those F1 cars run? When top speed? How many gears to they use?

F1 limited the rpm's to 18 or 19k. I think they're 6 or 7 speeds, but 1st takes them to 80 or so on most racks. They have to light the tires up leaving the pits cuz you can't "slip" those trick multiplate clutches.

Amazing technology in F1. The engines are tiny and light. Since horsepower is a function of torquexrpm, they make alot of "horsepower but don't have much torque. They generate so much downforce they could race on the ceiling.

I went for a ride today in a Velox Rev2. World class aerobatic airplane..300 hp, 1200 lbs. 0-80 mph liftoff in 4-5 seconds. Did some snap rolls. A F1 car with wings. All carbon fiber/kevlar. Maximum rpm is only 2800 rpms..limited by tip speed of the prop, but the TORQUE..........

Watched F1 growing up. That, hill climb and motorcross, was all the auto racing you got in Britain back then.

Most favorite part, the backfiring when down-shifting for a turn or chicane. That crackle and pop sound is awesome.

As usual, I snoozed thru the center of the race. Hamilton and McLaren dropped the ball and allowed his safety cushion to evaporate. Vettel was a man with a mission..someone to watch in the future.

A driver like Schumacher would never have allowed himself to get in the situation Hamilton did. Hamilton is not real champion material at this time.
