Brunswick stock is down 30% in the last month alone. Marine Max 40% down.

Yep, I posted the actual MFG unit sales for the first qtr a few weeks back.

Not looking good, and it will get worse...

It's good to be a buyer!

Sales in the PWC market also posted steep declines on 6,008 units, showing a 20.7 percent decrease in the quarter.

Thank Goodness! One bright spot in a bad report!

Some jack *** on a giant PWC just waked the hell out me today from a bout four feet away, while I was docking at the public ramp in front of a wildlife officer! Unbelievable.

Not sure I understand the hatred for "rice rocket" motorcycles; they typically aren't near as loud nor as obnoxious as some jackarse who buys a Harley and thinks the rest of the world wants to know how loud it can be with straight pipes leaving a stop light.

I agree, biggest waste of fuel on the water.

So said one sail boater to the other as they overlooked all of the power boats in he harbor.

Has nothing to do with that in my case, although I do like both sailing and powerboating . . .

Its just that, in my experience, roughly 90% of jet skiers/PWCers are inconsiderate jack *** with no clue!

Also, I know that power boaters and sailors never really got along, but sheesh . . . I never understood why tough?

Finally, if fuel prices continue to elevate, expect to see the numbers of sailboats on the water increase while the number of power boats decreases.

I had one pass me the other day. 3 lane road, 45MPH speed limit, traffic lights, school zone etc. My guess, the guywas doing 100+. Never saw him coming in my rear view mirror. I literally jumped from the noise when he went by.He was real cool though, weaving in and out of traffic. A$$hole.

Yeah, it's quite the sight to see when they go down too! I just wish I had a camera!

Road rash must be a biatch!

I lose all sympathy for the riders that die in a crash when the primary collision factor is speed and/or reckless driving.

Fatalities commonly include speeds of over 85 mph.

If you're gonna play... You're gonna pay...

I don't know. They can certainly outrun them unless they have a chopper. We don't have many of those around here. Everytime I see them 'having fun' riding wheelie's, doing nose stands or weaving in and out of traffic, I hope they go down and hard. Unfortunately when they do it's not always by themselves, as your link shows. If you want to do that fine, take it to a track or somewhere where you're the only one that gets killed, and please, pleeeeeeeeeeeease................get video!

I agree, biggest waste of fuel on the water. Those and "rice rocket" motor cycles on the highway. Hope one day not to see either.
Not any worse than the morons on Harleys with straight pipes.

You are obviously in need of a serious attitude adjustment. Those PWC are there for power boaters to use as entertainment and skill development. Just think 'aquatic skeet' the next you are at the helm.

I could post a photo of what it would have looked like if a tractor trailer had pulled in front of him, or a Taco Bell got in the way, but I won't.

BTW I've owned a PWC since '91 and I still ride my 98 Yamaha today. I have always tried to show the next boater as much respect as he would show me, but I agree, most people who ride them are inconsiderate jackoffs who don't have a clue what they're doing. Last year I got passed and sprayed by one while going 5mph in a crowded area. I swear he came 6 feet off my starboard side running wide open, caught me completely off guard. He had no clue he had sprayed me. Oh I was so pissed, not only b/c he sprayed me but b/c he was driving like a complete turd.

If I put straight pipes on my GMC 2500 6.0 the cops in town would arrest me!
