Default Global warming or no??

There was a story on the news this morning about a 16yo girl who is taking on the scientific community in regards to the views of Global Warming. She contends that its a hoax, more or less....

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...oryId=89619306

I really don't know if I can agree with the fact that 6.5 billion humans aren't contributing to the warming of the planet... Odd story...

Global warming is a false alarm contrived by the environmentalist to ruin the capatilistic integrity of America through higher fuel prices i.e.(the triple refining of diesel fuel which is one reason it has increased in price exponentially), auto-makers, powerplants (coal) and new energy exploration. This old earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old, seriously, you do not think it does not go through hiccups and adjustments from time to time? Lastly, less than 2% of all gases in the atmosphere are manmade.

FYI, It is no longer global warming. it is now called gobal climate change as tehy have found teh earth to have been cooling over the last year. This will allow the environmentalists to blame human behavior for any change in the weather.

Heck I wish these environmental scientists could better forcast tomorrow's marine weather let alone climate trends decades down the road.

There's no money to be made in an accurate marine forecast. We're spending it all on tackle, bait, tackle, gas, tackle, ice, beer, ice, beerand boats. You know, the important stuff.

But Al's making millions on a bogus10 or 20 year forecast. Well done Al.

If the Global Warming/Global Climate Change nuts have their way, GW Legislation will become a bigger drain on our economy than FDR's New Deal. Global temperatures have not risen in a decade and this winter was the coldest since 2001.

Quit listening to NPR and do some research! GOOD LORD! Liberals and their do-gooder socialists programs are running this country into the ground.

John McCain is a strong advocate of global climate change being a problem.

You get it!

Let's not forget GW's and the EPA juggernaut's contribution to the efforts to instill increasingly tighter controls over every aspect of our lives.

In fifty years, will there be anyone left that is capable of seeing things the way they really are?

The earth has been going through cycles long before we were here...will continue to do so long after we are gone. Is there climate change? Obviously. Are we as humans going to be able to control it? Not in my opinion.

The irony of your statement is that the same algorithms and the same computer models used to attempt weather forecasting 7-days in advance, and we know how accurate that is , those same algorithms and models are used to substantiate/prove global warming 25-years out or whatever.

Brian Sussman, a weatherman top-heavy with education and science, described the fallacies of any global weather claim and how the computer models are faulty. He ha a book coming that is supposed to debunk every argument and every claim of any global warm. What is known, proved, is that we are in a 75-year global cooling trend, as we were accurately alerted in the 70's.

New movie coming out in Friday about the other area of junk science, evolution. Hey, if Fat Albert (Gore) can get an Oscar for his fake-umentry on Global Warming, 'Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed' should sweep the Oscars next year.

This was invented by those guys who sold those little cans of R42 (I think that's right) you know the ones you could buy for .99 cents at the local auto parts store. Buy one today (that's after you spend 4 years in college and 2 more to get certified) and you can now buy them for $38.00.

Dang! Sure am glad to hear that learned opinion! I used to think that we really ought to listen to the experts on this subject, you know - scientists, since they should know the most about the subject. But then i heard today that George W Bush agrees with the scientists, so now i'm not so sure. He's been wrong about, well, just about everything, so maybe the denier's are on to something. Hmmmm.....

Problem is, you only want to listen "your scientists", you know - the credible ones.
