Default Tennis at 6am????????????????

I can not believe ESPN, I normally have my morning coffee and cruise ot THT while watching Mike and Mike in the morning on ESPN 2 but the last 2 days there is
some kind of damned tennis tournament on.

What is the deal with this, they have other channels and tennis is like soccer, who gives a crap.

This is prime time football playoffs and the panzie sports do not count

It's the Australian Open man. I'm a tennis player so I love it...but I understand the frustration. If I woke up to the NBA I would be mad too !!!

was it women's tennis? That has the potential to start the am off right. Mens tennis on the other hand is a complete poon sport. I rank it right up there with televised shuffleboard in terms of boredom.

ESPN2 was founded on lesser known sports (darts, ping pong, sawing the end off a log and something that looks like rugby but with little men from the nervous hospital in the end zone). The founding fathers of ESPN2 created a refuge that fans of lesser know sports could call home. In the good ole days, there was tradition and morals (you haven't seen many curlers bawling after a loosing endeavor - they are real men). Yeah, I know, ESPN2 has gone all fancy by televising radio shows and squeezing in a football game or so - but it will never forget its roots. This unfortunate infusion of crowd pleasing shows is known as "Mainstream Sports PC" (MSPC). MSPC is ruining ESPN2. If you don't like what the foundation of ESPN2 rests on, then you are un-ESPN2 and ESPN2 would be better off without you. Love it or leave it. Thank you.

tp, not fer nuttin, but I'm guessing you haven't played football in a long time, yet I play tennis at a high level 3 times a week plus tournaments. Panzie sport? Try it, bitch-my guess is you'd not last 3 minutes from a cardio/athletic POV with any of the folks with whom I play. Best regards...

Tennis is like golf, except you have to sweat and raise your heartbeat and stuff.................screw that, too much like work. I don't like golf, but hey, at least you can drive around in a little cute car and get smashed out of your mind...........and if you are really crafty, you might can do some easy mods to the little car so that it will go faster than it's supposed to, which means air time when you jump a bunker. How is tennis ever going to come close to that. It more closely resembles fly swatter practice combined with cardio than anything resembling a sport.

Sorry but football is the toughest game on the planet. Suit up one of those rugby boys in NFL armor and let him cover a kick off return special teams guy. Poof

I did not mean to turn this into a debate about tennis, golf or anything else.

I just like to watch Mike and Mike in the am while drinking my coffee and cruising THT, never denied tennis does not take a lot of endurance, eye hand control, and stamina and as much as i enjoy
golf there is no comparison . It is still not what I want to see at 6am in the morning on my tv.

If you channel surf you might find some real athletes, like extreme railing riding or moto cross--something more amenable to your socio-economic station. Screw those wussie wimps with rackets!!! Hey, versus might have extreme turkey hunting!
