Default Cummins MPG's

I am thinking about getting a dodge 2500 quad cab 4x4 for a work truck and was wondering what kind of mileage people were getting with the 5.9 and the 6.7?

'03, 3500 SRW, 48RE, 4.10s, quad cab 4X4, I have about 58k on it, I average about 13 in the winter 14 in the summer, this is mostly around town driving with a little highway, I get in the 15s if it is all highway and I am taking it easy. Towing a 13' high 11k lb 5th wheel I get between 10 and 11. BTW, this is all miles run divided by gallons not off the mpg computer on the truck.

I was thinking they got a little better than that but I guess that if you got the 3.73 gears that would help out a little. Yeah you cant go off the computer the one in my truck must be a little slow, its about 3 MPG's off.

i get 15-16 around town on my 2007 quad cab 5.9 auto 3.73 gears...i only have about 2000 miles though. I drive my work truck all the time so I haven't gotten a chance to drive it much, and haven't taken it on any trips.

'07 3500SRW 4x4 with the 5.9,G56 (6spd manual) and 3.73s. I'm right at 12,000 miles.

I get 19 on the freeway (60) and 17 at (70)
Around town its 15
Towing 33' 10,000lb fiver is right at 10

My Dad has an '07 identical to mine but with the 6.7,he averages about 2mpg less across the board. The new emmissions crap takes a toll on mpg.

All mileage is hand calculated. The O/H computer is optimistic by about 1.5 mpg.

2007, 3500, 5.9 L motor, 6-speed manual transmission, 4x4, 3.73 gears, quad cab, short bed, Airraid filter, MBRP exhaust, Mobile 1 oil.
I have about 20k on it right now
I average about 23 on the commute to work 90% highway, I get in the 25 if it is all highway and I am taking it easy (65mph).
Towing 16.5mpg with 2k boat, 15mpg towing a 7.5k boat.

All MPG calculation done by hand, the trucks computer reads .2-.5mpg higher than actual hand calculations

2007 5.9L, 3.73, 4x4, Quad Cab, 13,000miles

Around Town:

Usually between 13 and 14 with an occasional 15.

Highway:

Around 70mph = 18 to 19

75mph+ = 17

Just got back from Maryland a couple of weeks ago.

There and back was just over 1200 miles. It took two tanks of fuel.
34 gallon tank.

I would have filled up 5 times with my old F-150
Granted, it had a 24 gallon tank, but you can do the math.
