I grew up in south Georgia in the 50's and 60's. That word was used a lot by some but I never thought of it as the insult it is today. I really don't think I used the word much because my parents didn't. That word was slang and improper English.
Now, personally I think anyone that uses that word is such a blatantly stupid dumb f$ck that they have no right to be on TV. I don't even want to be around anyone that talks like that....even jokenly. Or for that matter, using it in RAP lyrics.
I hope he is fired and is never seen on TV again.

I'm confused here, is it your concerns that someone/ people is/ are loosing their right to use the n word or is it that people are loosing their right for privacy?

Just saw that A&E just pulled his show.

They said it's not cancelled, but just off the air.
It looks like some advertisers pulled there ad's.

I'm a little suprised that his son sold the tape. Not only did he screw his fathers career up, but he screwed his up as well.

It never ceases to amaze me how those that are handed golden opportunities in life always manage to royally screw it up.

Which son was it that released the tape? I think he has about 10 kids! I watched seasons 1 and 2 of the show but eventually it grew old. It was the same thing and it got boring. Now COPS...thats a show I've been watching for many years! Never gets old!

The guy dresses and acts and talks like some kinda Wild watusi tribesman and then uses the N word, Hey look at youself idiot. What a hypocrite.

You dont always get what you want but you get what you need. That boy needed to get off the air.

It's all about the double standard that exists in our society today. Is there a connection between wearing your underpants high and your pants low and having your panties constantly in a wad? Does this explain this "fashion" trend?

While I have seen the show ans it has entertainment value, like was mentioned he is a convicted murderer. I give him credit for turning his life around but he is still a murderer. I know people that have met him when the cameras were off and he a prick from what I have heard. ..... Whether you like it or not that conversation was meant to be private as welll as it content. The A-hole son needs to be prosecuted if he broke the law. Here in Florida conversations are protected... Im not commenting on the content. I think it a shame that word is still used and the black community (rappers and such) have done nothing but legitimize its use by all races.

question: how does a convicted murderer get to be a licensed bounty hunter?? Isn't this a law enforcement type field, that requires a clean record and a firearm license?

You will notice dog or his group never carry a firearm, since he is a convicted felon. I dont know the requirements to become a bounty hunter but they are as a group like Repo man. They aint the most reputable group of guys in the business... (no offense to anyone) This is just based on my limited contact with both groups... again its a lot of entertainment, you notice most of his bounties are small timers and since they have no guns the dog always goes in with a ton of help, smart on his part...

I've heard way more blacks use the 'N' than I have ever heard whites us it, so when they make the penalties for using the 'N' word fair and equitable for all races this whole thing might just start to make a little sense.
Until that huge double standard is removed I believe the whole 'N' word thing is little more than a poor joke on Whitey.
Again, when someone ends the careers of all the black rappers, comedians and other performers who use the 'N' word, including Whoopie Goldberg, the whole thing might start to take on a little credibility.
