Default Sports....Are They Dead?

Will we ever see another Game 7 in a World Series? Or another Super Bowl decided by a field goal? How disappointing is it to invest so much time into watching baseball only to see a boring sweep in the WS? Or one team steam roll all the competition on thier way to a Super Bowl rout? With all the commercialization and whiney/deviant/overpaid athletes in both of these, it is all kinda getting old for me.

It's all about you, isn't it pug. Well, Scott Bore-ass and his lawyer/agent friends need to bring some fairness to the sports industry because the owners have screwed the players for so long. When justice has been achieved you can stop watching; until then, you'll just have to listen to them pontificate and stand by as barely literate NBA/MLB/NFL/NHL players suffer at the hands of those mean-spirited owners.

I just read that the Yankees payroll since their last world series championship has exceed ONE BILLION dollars.

Things are pretty banged up these days.

Watch college sports. They are more entertaining anyway. I gave up watching millionaires play games and complain about how much they get paid to do so years ago.

Read the news reports about the Mass fan celebration? Pretty embarassing for an ex resident like me.

I doubt sports are dead, for the Sports buffs, they will still watch no matter what. For me, I'm tired of all the money grabbing salaries, no I'm not talking about reasonable 3-5 million a year, that keep raising the price of cable, tickets, and more and more commercial time on tv. And those boring, to me, pre game and post game shows that take more time than the game to tell us about what we are going to see, and what we just seen or boring commentators, who get down on a player or team and when he/team makes a great play, now say he is a super star or team #1 in the country.
I really prefer college sports now days, not that I do not watch pro sports but I have a feeling that we will have to buy special sports channels to view most pro and some college games in the next few years, so I guess I will go back and attend the local High School games for $3 a ticket.

From reading the papers and watching the news, it seems as though most of the mayhem was caused by a-hole college students that aren't even from Mass.
