Default Ignore Feature

I was just curious and decided I would do a poll (somewhat). How many of you feel the need to actually use this feature on THT. Is there really people who get under your skin that you need to ignore? To me it would make it harder to follow a thread if you did do this? Just curious is all. BTW, I have zero in my ignore list.

The offending posters name still comes up (offending me) with "you have chosen to ignore this member"
almost as annoying as the offending member. why not just a blank where the post would have been?

Occasionally the site is discoverred by people who only want to be disruptive. Sometimes one member becomes obsesivley hostile to another member. This feature enables us to block those folks from our perception until the moderator gets around to shutting them down.

The list of people on my ignore feature is so long that I can't count them anymore. Some people just aren't worth listening to.........

I only have one. Its a poster who takes it upon themself to sometimes re-post long pages of other people's posts copied and pasted into her own post without adding any content to it. These are posts we have already read once, sometimes more, as part of other posts. Yeah, the scroll wheel would do it, but the "You have chosen to ignore this poster" only takes up one line of text, which makes the obnoxious posts much smaller. that means the scroll wheel can run by about five of her posts with one little spin, instead of taking three or four spins to get to something relevant. I have more respect for my scroll wheel than to exercise it overly much for that particular poster.
