Default Honda 150

Have the Honda users been generally happy with their purchase? I wanted to ask this question because I have good service for Honda locally. As a matter of fact, I have good service for Yamaha and Evinrude as well.

I bought a pair of 2006 Honda 150's last year and they have lived up to their reputation - quiet, efficient, and reliable. There was a recall on some of the BF150's for a throttle linkage (repaired in a half hour by dealer at no cost) and I had one warranty issue with a bad high pressure fuel pump, also taken care of by the dealer promptly at no cost.
Since no mechanical thing is ever going to be perfect (especially not on a boat!) I agree with your thought the quality of local service is a very important factor

Do a search...

Honda owners are only slightly less fanatical than the Etec owners.

My podna has an '05--bought new. It has performed flawlessly--he loves it.

Good luck.
