Yep, and Rush is matching that 2 mil out of his own pocket and has challenged various senators who signed it to do the same. They have been strangely silent on the matter outside of dingy's attempt to claim partial credit for the donation to the Marines on the senate floor today.

Trying to take credit;

"But without qualification Mark May, the owner of the network that has Rush Limbaugh, and Rush Limbaugh should know that this letter that they're auctioning is going to be something that raises money for a worthwhile cause. I don't know what WE could do more important than helping to ensure that children of our fallen soldiers and police officers who have fallen in the line of duty have the opportunity for their children to have a good education."

Attacking him over and over again about an addiction to pain medication that he got treatment for and has overcome.......is this an example of you showing off some of that compassion and tolerance that you liberals are so famous for? Congrats.

this is headed for parts south......i have no problem with rushes drug addiction........i have a problem with his advocating of life in prison for people who did exactly what he did............its all show biz and hes great at it..........he actually managed to convince his listeners that wesley clark (forget politics for a minute) a hardened combat vet was a wimp and he ,rush, a soft, and fat fella who has never taken a physical risk in his life was a tough guy....its hilarious

He may be soft and fat - hey this thread isn't about me is it?! - but $4,200,000 raised in 1 week for the charity of his choice can only be good in anybody's book!

That's a couple of new ones on me.
When did Limbaugh say that drug users should get life in prison because of their addiction?
And when did Limbaugh call Clark is a wimp? Details, please.

Harry Reid is a moron.

The rest of the idiots are politicians and thought that they would look good by supporting the troops. Probably didn't even read the transcript of what Limbaugh said.

Rush is just an entertainer, and he has his act down pat.

I think he earns $50,000,000.00 per year, stunning.

i listen to rush a lot and think he is brilliant...and..any money raised for wounded vets and their famlies is a good thing.....period..........before he was exposed as an addict he repeatedly took a hard line on drug use.....he never mentioned addiction only criminality....as to wesley clark he repeatedly compared him to ashley wilkes in "gone with the wind" going so far as to call him that instead of his real name......hey you live in a country where a sizeable percentage of the population believes iraq had something to do with 911, a blue, blue, blood guy who was born in conneticut and went to new england prep schools and colleges and was a cheerleader is a "cowboy" even though he lives on a "ranch" with no cattle or horses.........i dont blame rush for taping into the easy pickins.....believe it or not im off to a republican fund raiser......dosent mean i cant see whats right in front of me

It is ironic though that all this whining about how the administration intimidates the media, and yet they are trying to do the same thing. Maybe hypocritical is a better word then ironic. There is very little, if any difference between the parties anymore.
